The annual ceremony honoring our fallen heroes was held at Fayetteville’s Freedom Memorial Park on Memorial Day 2025.

Chapter President Greg Williamson, assisted by Pat Stang representing our surviving spouses, presented the memorial wreath at the Global War on Terror monument, a memorial honoring our brave military men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the global fight against terrorism since 9/11.

The Global War on Terror monument was donated to the community by the Cape Fear Chapter and dedicated on Memorial Day 2018. Since then, the Cape Fear Chapter has had the honor of laying a wreath on it every year on Memorial Day.

SGM Jeffery Dudzienski of the 82nd Airborne Division was the featured speaker for the event.

Though the inclement weather kept many from attending, several chapter members braved the weather to pay their respects.
