The luncheon was held at Sammio’s Italian Restaurant on Raeford Road, Fayetteville, a first time venue for the chapter.

President Rich Underwood led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, and Chaplain Greg Williamson followed with the invocation.

President Underwood introduced new chapter member COL (Ret) Steve Cage.

Following a buffet lunch President Underwood presented the 2022 Robert F. DeMeter Chapter Service Award to Chaplain (LTC) (Ret) Timothy H. Atkinson for meritorious service to the chapter as Chaplain for 6 years.

Several chapter members were recognized as follows:

Teresa Vaughn was presented a Certificate of Appreciation & a chapter coin for invaluable contributions and assistance to the chapter over a period of two years.

Chapter coins were presented to the following for reasons stated:

Tad & Diane Davis (Event Managers for Day at the Ball Park in July 2022, and for recruiting new chapter members.)

Following the awards and recognition portion of the meeting, President Underwood presented the “State of the Chapter” report covering CY 2022. A copy of this report is posted in the “Document” section of this website.

The winner of the 50/50 raffle was George Glann, who generously donated his winnings of $70 to the ROTC Scholarship Fund.

Chaplain Williamson delivered the benediction and the meeting adjourned.
