MEET AND GREET LUNCHEON
January 13, 2024
The first social event of the new year, a “pay-as-you-go” luncheon held at the District House of Taps Restaurant in the Haymount area of Fayetteville was well attended. The overall atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Everyone was in a great mood owing to the beautiful weather and great company.
President Underwood opened the meeting with the pledge of allegiance to the flag and Chaplain Williamson followed it with a blessing.
The guest speaker for the event was retired Fayetteville Historian Bruce Daws who gave a very educational and enjoyable presentation on the history of Fayetteville and Camp/Fort Bragg from the Revolutionary War through WW II.
Overall, the event was a great success and a good way to kick off the new year.
