Chapter President Juan Chavez and his wife Maria attended the MOAA Annual Meeting in Arlington, VA. to accept a 4-Star Levels of Excellence Award for the Cape Fear Chapter.

Juan accepted the 4-star streamer from MOAA Chairman General (Ret) John H. Tilelli, at the Levels of Excellence Award dinner.

Other North Carolina Chapters receiving awards were: Catawba Valley (4-Star); Coastal Carolina (4-Star); High Country (5-Star), New River (5-Star), and Sandhills (4-Star).
