First time attendees introduced included: Col Matt Barker, COL (Ret) John Dunigan and LTC (Ret) Marty Williams. Potential new members and guests included LTC (Ret) David Booth and LTC (Ret) Bill Bell and his wife Sue.

LTC (Ret) John Hazlett was recognized for exceptional service in a leadership position as Editor of the Infogram for the past 13 years. John was awarded the MOAA Leadership Award and his wife Ann was presented a bouquet of flowers by Chapter President Chavez.

Our guest speaker was NC State Representative Rick Glazier who presented a comprehensive update on the 2015 state budget negotiations, teachers compensation, military-related legislation, and other issues of interest.
