SENIOR ROTC LEADERSHIP AWARDS

October 1, 2017

MOAA Medals for leadership were presented by LTC (Ret) Marty Williams, 3rd Vice President for ROTC Affairs, to the four outstanding SROTC cadets. They are from left to right: Karen Shoaf, Campbell University; Earnest Barnie, FSU; Scott Khimani, Methodist University; and, Austin Jenkins, UNCP. Each cadet also received a $100.00 stipend from the chapter. Congratulations to all of them!

The presentation took place at a Fort Bragg training area at the conclusion of FTX Trailblazer which is an annual exercise in which the cadets learn and practice various soldiering skills. Approximately 100 cadets from the four schools represented by our awardees participated in this important training. There were number of other awards presented by the cadet leadership to their peers as well as awards from the Army ROTC cadre. Morale was high and everyone seemed to enjoy the program.
